Ayma Begum of Baliyatpur village said, 'His son Mintu Mia has cultivated Boro in a bigha land. Got cooked in rice After a few days, it is said to be cut. But suddenly I went to the field and saw that the whole rice field of the land was scratched like others. I can not afford to compensate. '
Farmer Kaliul Hossain of Baliyat village said, "Now I and my brother have planted boro in three bighas of land. Our whole field has been burnt in the hot air of the brick field. '
Motiar Rahman of the local Shekhpara village has leased 15 thousand taka through 50 government mangoes tenders in the rural roads of the area for sale. The mangoes of all the trees in the hot air of bricks have been lost.
Abdul Malek, a farmer of Baliyat village, said that since the introduction of the brick field, there is no fruit with coconut, litchi and jackfruit in their area and they can not be raised. In addition, about 15 farmers of the area complained that the administration took initiatives to compensate them after their crop was wasted for the last two years but it was not given to all the affected farmers. Joypurhat Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Aminur Rahman said, "No one has complained about this issue yet. If the complaint is received then the action will be taken to recover the damages of the victims. Apart from this, the recommendation was sent to the Environment Department to stop the brick field in the same complaint last year, but no visible action was taken.
Senior Chemist Asadur Rahman of Bogra divisional office of Department of Forest and Environment, said, "No clearance has been issued from the Itawatara Environment Department since 2014.
