Homeless vs animals.

Firstly, there are tons of state and private resources already supposedly solving this problem, even though many simply don't work very well... so it's not like people haven't tried.

Secondly, unlike pets, homeless people are adult humans who no longer have a legal guardian who would be held responsible. In theory, they should be responsible for themselves.

Many, unfortunately, have severe mental problems and insurmountable chemical addictions, but the people who tend to be most vocal about how compassionate they are don't ever seem to want to admit that, and instead act like it's just a matter of taking money or housing from one person and giving it to the homeless.
