STEEM HITS ONE MILLION USERS; CONGRATULATIONS TO STEEMIT.
Steem has hit one million users. The number of accounts been created on steemit is really growing, this shows that more people are interested and getting to know about steemit and steem. Though not all the one million accounts are genuine users, some are scammers, spammers, and bots. These are bad actors, But as much as there are bad actors, the genuine user of steem that make up the one million users are still more than the bad actors.
So steem hitting one million users is something to celebrate. Though steemit is getting close to three years of its existence and I thought that it should have reached one million users before now, since it is a social media site that rewards and pays people for their blogging and other stuff done on the blockchain.
I know that a lot more people are aware of steemit, but they refused to join because maybe a place like steemit where people can blog and earn without investing in it, is too good to be true to them. It is true that you have to give something to get something, but it does not always have to do with investing money in something to get financial rewards for example, It can also be about investing your time and talent for financial gains. Steemit is a place where you don't necessarily have to invest money for financial gains, but it is a place where you have to invest your time in it. But investing money on steemit can also be very rewarding for you too, if you have the funds, but it is not a compulsory it.
So I think has time goes on, when steemit starts to become mainstream, people will believe more in steemit whether they invest money in it or not and it's adoption will become massive, more than it is now.
For me, besides the rewards, I really like steemit because it makes me really feel free to express myself independently and I think this is good for the soul. So congratulations to steem, steemit and steemians for hitting one million users on this platform.
