The Single Step Project: Update

I mentioned earlier that I am working towards a goal called the Single Step Project. The goal is 1,000 miles, to be walked between January 7 and October 1 of this year. I am raising money, through pledges with www.rallyup.com for homelessness. All money will go to Amarillo Housing First, a nonprofit that works to place homeless individuals and families into permanent housing. They are currently averaging over 1 placement per week, and their staff are entirely volunteer.

As it stands today, I have logged over 76 miles. Nearly 24 hours worth of walking. And by the time this walk is through, I hope to prove the adage "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step".
