A few changes at The Writers' Block
We have begun implementing some changes at The Writers' Block Discord channel. Some roles have been removed (sorry pink members, it was getting confusing), while others have had their colors changed to be more in alignment with the role colors at PALnet, the Discord channel of the @minnowsupport project. We did this in order to ease any cross over of members between our two communities.
We are onboarding moderators to look after the server and its members and all members, management down, will have clearly defined roles. Editors have moderator rights for various workshops, and we are looking at publishing our community standards and rules shortly.
This is due in large part to the extraordinarily fast growth of our community. We want it to have a professional, yet welcoming atmosphere. These changes will, we hope, bring more clarity and accountability to our management going forward, should any community problems manifest themselves. We are hoping to get ahead of the curve here before we grow much bigger.
Thank you for your patience as we transition through these changes. If anything is not working as expected, contact myself - @gmuxx - or any of the other moderators at The Writers' Block - moderators have a blue color - and we will rectify any situation as quickly as we can.
Nice work by the team. It pays to be organized early, or else it's a much bigger mess later.
EXACTLY!!
Sounds good to me. Smart idea.
I like all the pretty colors!
I dropped in for a short moment today and noticed the new changes; it all looks so official now. Nice work team.
Congrats on the growth. With growth always comes change and congrats to the new moderators.
Everything looks so clean and crisp. Great work folks!
Thanks for the explanation @gmuxx. Makes good sense!
Rock on, @gmuxx ;)
😄😇😄
Thank you @gmuxx for making me an Honorary Member - very honoured 😊
I look forward to you engaging more in the community, then you can be a full member.
I can't believe my good fortune in finding this wonderful community. Hats off to the organizers, moderators and editors. I bow down to you all! And thank you for welcoming me in.
