Okay, then, I will rant about something that pissed me off this week that I noticed and this is a good place to do it.
I was playing SWTOR (Star Wars the Old Republic) and I was running on Shayder, a male character. Now I am a female player, I often run on my main, Rosiet, who is a female character. Whenever I play with Rosiet, most often people are nice, cordial, polite, they are careful how they speak to me. Sometimes, I encounter a jackass or two, but after over 4 years playing online, it's bound to happen.
Lately, I've been playing a lot with my male characters, and man oh man, the way people talk. They were rude, bitchy, swore at me. On Rosiet, people never, NEVER cuss at me.
Do these people think it's okay to talk aggressively and be passive aggressive to men?
They see a male character and automatically assume the person behind the character is of the same gender. So then what? It's okay to be mean and rude to men? This is sexist! Seriously. If it's not okay to speak in a manner that would be upsetting when speaking to a woman, why the heck is it okay to speak in upsetting manner if the person is a guy? Double standards people. I will speak out against sexism against men when I see it, and this is one example.
Just because these people think I'm a guy, they think it's okay to swear at me, talk down at me. It's ridiculous! And what's worse, is that, on some other characters, if the topic came up and I mentioned I was a female player behind that male character, their tone would change. How is that even fair? How is that equality?
Of course, say that to any feminist, who is SUPPOSED to promote equality of the sexes, but NO, they won't see a problem with it. I see a problem with it though, and I'm not even a guy! I don't want to HAVE to tell people "I'M A WOMAN!" for them to speak to me with respect. I want people to speak to me with respect. PERIOD! (No, I do not have it right now.) And that's another issue, if you piss a woman off, players will conclude that she has her period. Having or not having our periods do not give people the right to disrespect us or to justify us demanding some common decency.
Men deserve to have the same respect and common decency, okay. If I were a dude playing, why should I tolerate people speaking to me with disregard? Why do people think it's okay to be this way towards men or to make excuses for women reacting. Why can't people just respect me, the player, regardless of who I am behind each of my characters?
Granted there are some nice people, but it happens way too often, and this week it happened one too many times, that people were aggressive and disrespectful in their tone when I was running a MALE character.
And I'm the kind of chick that says momma jokes and stuff. I don't mind silliness. I just want respect, no matter which character I'm on, and I would like to think that men would get the same level of respect as women. I don't want the fact that I'm a woman to be a weapon for DESERVING respect. EVERYONE, INCLUDING MEN DESERVE RESPECT! How do people not see how this is sexist against men, this whole attitude thing?
Anyway, it appalls me to think that many people will view this as justifiable and disregard it and think it's okay for men to be disrespected. It's NOT. That's SEXISM. I don't care who is behind the character speaking to me, men or women, both should respect each other. You know, I have never been faced with sexism against women in SWTOR, not that I can remember right now. But I clearly see sexism against men. Not cool.
Anyway, this was my rant. I don't tend to swear, so it's fairly clean, unlike my mind :p

I'm glad it made you feel better. That's what this rant post is here for. Getting woken up by anybody can be unpleasant, but getting woken up by a neighbor who comes into your house unannounced, I can see how that would produce a rant;)

Fucking Hell what a morning! I live on the top floor of a house with a neighbour living downstairs. He is 30 years older than me but has learning difficulties so i have to help him with lots of everyday jobs like puttting on his tie and making sure his chickens cooked etc.. i dont mind all that. But this morning he let himself into our house at 6AM came into my bedroom and shook me awake to tell me his drains are overflowing! i've unblocked his drain 3 times already in the past and its always full of leaves, all the trees are in his garden but he keeps denying it, and blaming it on me. Anyway i got up and helped him, literally got covered in shit, and didnt even get a thankyou. But he's one of a kind and makes me laugh on a daily basis so I gave him a smile and saved my rant just for you!
Writers block, steemit fog, that feeling you get when you just can't write and when you can it doesn't flow. This has been a big problem for me lately as it's leeched into some other projects I'm working on too. Hopefully a 12hr flight to Japan, lots of beer and other fun things will clear my head.
My gardener frustrates the hell out of me. If I ask him to do something in the garden that he is actually supposed to do and he gives me that look that says it all "F@#& you" He normally does what I was asking but with no joy in his heart ...... Everything that I want to be done I must ask him.
Here is my rant...
I hate the Million dollar club Circle Jerks and Daisy Chains and the fact that Steem was pre-mined and the power rests in a few big timers who are controlling the loathed and pretty much reviled "Trending Page".

I also hate frat boy looking pompous elitist pricks like this who have a melt down when every day at least 17,000 children die of starvation and water that is not suitable for consumption.

@steemitbc - apparently I was awarded 10 SBD for my rant last week about the state of Australia politics, which must be the first time I ever got paid for our politicians doing such a great job of ignoring our public health, welfare, education and whatever else we have elected them to do. Actually, it would be the second time because I worked at one of the polling booths on the day of the election and the number of people who cast informal votes (yes, it is compulsory to vote in Australia) that made me realize just how much we are spending on employing people to count invalid votes when we could be using an electronic system made me want to rant even more about politics!
But I won't, and I am thankful for a safe environment to vent a little, so why don't the rest of you go and rant some here for crying out lout!!!

Well, except for the fact that nothing is going to change for another 3 years since the people have voted the same government that wasted millions of dollars and delivered a crippling health system, second-class transport system and will not doubt continue on their merry ways. I am glad that at least #teamaustralia and @ausbitbank has got our backs :p
Ok lol just reading this makes me laugh but doesn't change the fact am unhappy of how diffcult it is for me to make a blog..i always have ideals on science, politics, religion and so on to express ..for long i have been looking for medium to express them and since joining steemit all of a sudden it just stop flowing most espicially when i pick up my pen to write and this so fucking annoying.
So today as i was driving home from work, then i arrived at a steep curve on the highway. Everyone was going at about 55mph when suddenly the person in front of me came to a stop and i almost hit them. i stepped so hard on my breaks my car could have flipped. Next i was worried that the person coming behind me might hit me. i was so pissed.
i also did not have the option to switch my lane as the car on my right was a huge truck driving slower.
Soon after the incident my heart was beating so fast i thought it would fall out of my chest.
i'm so happy to vent here cause i was thinking that i need an outlet for my frustrations as i tend to keep things to myself.
There's other stuff i can vent about i guess ill wait till next time.

Ver is the CEO/Frontman/PR Hack for BCash, the alt-coin that is trying to squat on the Bitcoin brand and become "the new Bitcoin".
He flipped out when the host called his alt-coin BCash, which is pretty funny. its like someone freaking out if you called Electronic Mail "email". The second term is just easier to say.
The video shows pretty succinctly why you shouldn't trust a centralized party to run a large financial system. Especially one who seems to have such a thin skin that they react like a child.
Here's the interview, the meltdown is about 40 minutes in or so.
Remember, if you're not a millionaire, your ideas don't count - at least in Ver's world...
