Building Bonds: The Ripple Challenge -- @dwinblood, @thecryptofiend and @stellabelle.
There are many technical solutions to user retention, but I believe the best answer is to have a community with strong bonds. With this sentiment in mind, I have come up with an idea which should serve to build bridges of communication between Steemians, help us get to know each other a lot better, as well as provide us with a bit of fun.
Introducing #theripplechallenge.
To start us off, I will choose @dwinblood, @thecryptofiend and @stellabelle.
The Challenge:
Tell me what you see.
This should tell us a lot about each of you. I'm intrigued to see what you see...
Okay I am one of the people challenged. I don't know that I've ever spent much time on ink blot tests... but here goes... I should warn you I can see faces and shapes in clouds, and in drywall, and in other irregular patterns. The pattern matching parts of our brain can do some amazing things. If I was looking for Jesus in a piece of toast I could probably find that too.. :P
I see a clown.
I see what could be me with my wild hairdo and beard.
That's about it. I suppose if I really stretch I could go for some phallic symbolism with what I am considering the nose, but if that is a phallus the person owning it must be in a lot of discomfort.
Also as a side not instead of saving the image again I just copied the link to your image and reused it. :)
Thanks for that... That was painful to read lol. Well, painful once I observed the image to make sense of what you meant. Ouch..
Thanks for taking part. I see the clown guy too now. Or, perhaps the dude from the pringles logo.
Also, copying the image location does make a hell of a lot more sense. Don't judge me. I was rather tired when I invented this idea.
I also went for the phallus reference because any display of an ink blot immediately makes me think Psychology, Freud, etc. They are famously/infamously fixated on phallus and sexual related jokes... so they actually over time have totally biased the ink blot process.

That makes sense. They were certainly some dodgy people-- the pioneers of psychology I mean. I think most of what I have heard them saying is complete bullshit mind you.. It seems they were trying to pervert the minds of the populous, rather than expose the perverted minds of a populous..
I agree. I've known a lot of Psychology majors over the years. A few of them have been pretty cool people. A lot of them were very disturbed and seemed fixated on telling everyone else how they were disturbed instead of them. I believe a lot of the LAWS, BILLS, Socialist programs, etc that arose from this are a big part of the problem in the world today.
Perhaps it is that being in possession of a fucked up mind can lead someone to study psychology in order to make sense of their own thoughts.. So I can see why that profession would attract some distrubed individuals.
In saying that, I have known a few who study psychology and they were relatively normal. I have plenty more years to find a more disturbed one though..

I don't think there is a correct answer. The image is intentionally open to interpretation in order to invite the imagination to come alive.
Or maybe the pain in my soul is a clown piloting a drone firing missles and dropping bombs on a small village of self doubt and insecurity. :)
