When did Steemians become so Unfriendly? Could it be the recent Down Price of Steem? BTC?
The general idea of steemit to not-so-new users is to interact and bond with people, which clearly is a myth this days.
It's 23:50 here in West Africa Nigeria, and for over 50 minutes i had been chatting people up on discord and on Steemchat with no response and from all indications this guys are online but never deem it fit that not all "hey hello, how are you" wants a favour.
You might be wondering if people wouldn't sleep anymore because they want to stay up and chat. But hey, time difference makes this easy and most of the people i had tried to talk to ain't from my home country.
I thought Steemit is a one big community! Oh i was wrong as nobody in the Chinese community or Korean community never respond despite trying to communicate with them for the past 4 months.
Funny thing is that, i have tried using Google translator and still the no response feedback. Is this some form of Racism? Or each steemian should just stick to his or her community and never make friend outside the Box.
A very common occurence amongst the Bigger Fishes, they rarely respond to a minnow. But that is understandable-since we have little or nothing to offer them...
But minnows to minnow is what sadden my heart, did something go wrong in the linear rewarding that made everyone suddenly hostile? The friendship we make here beats imaginations, something your fellow country men and women could not offer you; a Friendly Steemian in far away land would give you freely- that is the Steemit we all dreamed of.
Suddenly it all became so gloom like a graveyard in the middle of a winter night...
It is an appalling situation if communications only runs smoothly between a tribe or a particular country people. That same ideology we all left in the Real World had found it's way unto us on the Blockchain!
I was told several times that the ideas we need to develop our immediate enviroment lies in each and every steemians home and abroad, now that we all are finding it difficult to interact, i wonder if that saying is true or just a fallacy.
Even though it been so hard to earn for many of us but we still keep the fate, since we got no Group or have intentions to lobby. Getting a Delegated SP is another mystery because the individual to lease these SPs are not in the Communicating Realm.
Hopefully things change once the Price of Steem starts going up again: cos this unfriendliness ain't what i signed up for....it can't continue this way!

I also thought that stermit was huge community platform where we can find big people to talk and share the problem in chat room. I have been trying to reach "them", but I got no response as expected. Bro you are right and you are wrong.Lolz. my past two to three days has been cool...I can't be mentioning community but chatting has been sweet reaching different national. As I'm right this it is 5:12am and I've not close my eyes I've been on one channel to other and also preparing my post.
You are right cos some see your post and neglect it, cos they think nothing can come out from the discussion but they forgot they are once like us before reaching that peak.
Anyway Steemit is a big community with different kind of people and behaviour we just need to blend together.

It's normal for people to withdraw a bit when they're not happy. It's normal for monetary issues to affect our moods. It's also possible that people are simply more busy.
i agree @demotruk, turns out the extremely busy ones still find time to respond after a while, like you😊...you always respond irrespective of the inconvenient timing.
I don't respond to everyone. I get messages from lots of minnows every day, I respond to certain people and to reasonable unsolicited messages.

Selfishiness is one of the Rule of Steemit Game...Left for us to choose sticking to the Selfish Rules or ditching them...
Like if you notice some that got delegated power for their whole community only share the spoil in their group leaving the rest of the community hopeless...That is the Real Selfishness dear @tochi
