BITLANDERS: It's Kind of Like a Blogging Game???

in #community8 years ago (edited)

So!
In my quest for more money through unconventional means I came across a site called

BITLANDERS!!!

Now originally this site was meant to be a way to make bitcoin by blogging [sort of stemmit like almost...]
but recently they changed it up so you get paid out in paypal or payza in USD or your countries currency not crypto [awe bummer]
Apparently this change was made due to legal reasons...

This site differs kinda wildly from steemit in MANY WAYS

The basic set up is similar though:

You get paid to post and interact through what is referred to as " THE BUZZ SCORE"
There are two kinds: your base buzz and your bonus buzz.
And depending on how many buzzes from other members you get, you will get rewards!

Now the real differences are:
1. You have to PAY to have posts that get promoted for good rewards $.
This system works through what is called "gems". You can buy them with the money you make on site.
They give you a bunch of free ones when you make your account SO USE THEM WISELY
A lot of new users don't get how valuable gems are to earning at all on here and spend them early on stuff like decking out your avatar
[fuck that my avatar is barefoot and broke! That dress and spear were free!!]

It takes 10 gems to get a blog reviewed on BitLanders so USE THEM WISELY
I used some of my gems to get videos reviewed..and it turns out if you want to actually make $ on bitlanders

THAT'S A MISTAKE

2. Apparently a la new rules they decided that the only posts that are really worth a damn are the blog posts.
So, although you can get your video and gallery posts sent in [for 10 gems each] to be reviewed... they won't make you as much in rewards. Which sucks! But is what it is...

I personally kinda hate writing blog posts..at least in the professional specific manner dictated by bitlanders..
you also make more for how many stars you get for reviewed blogs. So if you get a 5 star review you will get all 10 of your gems back [score!!] but it's super hard to get a review that good. Most users seem to fall in the 2-3 star range on the site.

3. Everyone's buzz is worth different amounts...sort of.
Allegedly the higher your buzz score the more your buzz and subscription to other users is worth to THEM in rewards but...this is super vague. For the most part it would seem that your buzz is sort of worth more than others if it's higher buuuut I'm really not sure how much of a difference it makes.

4. It has a referral system.

In the referral system you get 20% of the buzz score of your referrals for life. Which would encourage you to help coach those who are under your referral since, if they don't play and have low buzz then it's not like you're making much either xD
Here's my referral link if anyone feels like playing:

So, as per any game, it turns out you CAN make $ off bitlanders...but not a whole lot unless you are the king daddy of blogging and have a lot of time to do a lot of really good blogs for possibly not a huge amount of pay!

This is why I refer to bitlanders as a game as opposed to an actual paid for posts and interaction site.
If they were less value on what brings the most rewards, it would be less like a game I think.
As it stands? It's fun to try and riddle out how to make more rewards on there if you have time.
I certainly wouldn't attempt to rely on it for a steady income.

I might sign up later but it seems like it would just be another distraction. I see blogs getting value here. So id rather work hard here, but i might check it out if i have any bandwidth issues haha. Much love. As you said its not even for crypto anymore. Which is lamesauce to me. But id use your link when i do so u get any extra buzz

lol ya its seriously just kinda fun. i managed to get myself on the top 30 leaderboard for like a few weeks which was fun, and it has helped me practice writing blogs.i also like that it's nice for people who suck at writing blogs cos at the very least they can make some $ being interactive and stuff. just way more if you blog post...

Ohh okay. That seems like something i can play in the morning while i recharge. When i get home this evening ill give it a good look! Thanks pepper

Your biggest bottleneck for bandwidth is your steem power. Looks like you're no longer getting your starting delegation, which is a good sign that you're doing things right. Looks like you've been powering up, which is also a very smart idea. At this point, you just need to catch the attention of awesome people who can upvote your posts and help you build out your steem power. It's doable, but it takes a bit of time and effort.

Keep at it, you'll get there!

I could think of a different "Buzz" I would rather be paid for.

@junebride used to be the top No.1 user there and I in 2015 :) I learned and earned my first BTC there. Now junbride is top No.2 because her time and blogs are divided here and there 😊 She was earning up to $10 plus daily there. I earned more than 3 BTC there but I didn't kept it. I lost the chance to be a Filipino millionaire 😂 I earned up to 0.035 BTC daily there back in 2015.

lols..hahaha i wish i had kept my btc as well..
