World War 3: India & Pakistan

Greetings Steemers!! I am going to do a series of articles, in which I will point out two countries, who can start world war three. Today's two countries are (yeah you guessed it right) India & Pakistan. India and Pakistan have been neighbors since 14th August,1947. Before that they were one country, the undivided India. During partition most of the Muslim population were forced to go to Pakistan as the British thought dividing a country on the basis of religion would be fun. Since then these two countries have fought fours. I personally believe these two can ignite the spark that causes the WWIII.

So,we will start from where we left. India and Pakistan have fought 4 wars (1947,1965,1971 and 1999) and Pakistan was forced to surrender each time. With time Pakistan has advanced in military power so it wont be easy for India this time. Now the main dispute between these two countries is with the possession of Kashmir. They have fought three wars for Kashmir: Indo-Pakistani wars of 1947 and 1965 and Kargil war of 1999.

India claims the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir, and administers approximately 43% of the region. It controls Jammu, the Kashmir Valley, Ladakh, and the Siachen Glacier. India's claims are contested by Pakistan, which administers approximately 37% of Jammu and Kashmir, namely Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. China currently administers Demchok district, the Shaksgam Valley, and the Aksai Chin region. China's claim over these territories has been disputed by India since China took Aksai Chin during the Sino-Indian War of 1962.

The main point of conflict is Kashmir Valley. Both India and Pakistan claims the whole Kashmir. Despite the efforts of the UN no peaceful solution has emerged. Pakistani army violates the LoC(Line of Control) and opens fire. India then also returns fire. It is claimed by India that Pakistan actively helped the terrorists during the 2008 Mumbai attack,2016 Uri attack and Pathankot attack. Pakistan of course have denied any involvement. The political tension between these countries are increasing as the days go by.

If a war breaks out between India and Pakistan, it could become the world war three and it can be a nuclear war and the end of the world.

I was tring to analyze the war and I have thought of a scenario that could take place.

1.China has been a great supporter of Pakistan about Pakistan's claim over Kashmir. China and Pakistan are now scratching each others back. So if a war breaks out China will support Pakistan. Japan then will send its forces to China and China have to divide its forces.

2.North Korea may extend their helping hands towards China and then South Korea will launch an attack in retaliation. America has a Mutual Defense Agreement with South Korea. American Seventh Fleet will move into action.

3.Vietnam have a long standing rivalry with China. They can launch an offensive against China.

4.All the Muslim nations like UAE, Saudi Arab, Iraq ,Syria and many others may support Pakistan.

5.All of the Al Qaeda’s, Talibans, Haqqani network, Jaish e Mohammad and most importantly ISIS will definitely increase their attacks on indian sould and pan globe.

6.Russia is not friends with China, There is a bitter relationship between the two. But according to a Mutual Defense Agreement, an attack on India is attack on Russia. Thus a full scale world war starts.

Measuring both side's strength I believe India and its ally countries will have victory. This war most probably will be nuclear. So it could be the end of world or it will wipe out few nations. Whatever the result is, it will be a disaster for all the nations. We are of course against war and we want a ever lasting peace between these countries which will come through the solution to solve the dispute over Kashmir.
