Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu Joins International Coastal Cleanup Drive 2017

International Coastal Cleanup is the world's biggest effort for ocean's health. It is held every third Saturday of September of each year with thousands of volunteers around the globe participating in clearing of tons of trash from coastlines, rivers, lakes seas, and recording every piece of trash collected

Since the increasing amount of garbages with an extremely slow rate of declination has been one of the nation's crises, this effort was built, and to be part of it for 3 consecutive years already is a very great privilege.

This activity here in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu starts with an opening program with an inclusion of a brief discussion of what is this event all about and why it is made.

There's hundreds and hundreds of participants this year just here in the area.

Everyone's now starting to clear the place off while beating the heat of the sun.

Alright! We're recording every piece of trash that we have collected.

Okay! Let's have a break and take a rest. It has been a very productive day!

We started around 6:30 am and ended at around 9:30 am. Yes! It's about 3 hours.
