Great points you've raised here. I must confess I'm new on Steemit and don't really know my way around. I will appreciate some help in knowing how to join good communities and other vital information as well.
Try following @steemonboarding. They are helping new onboarders find their feet here.
Secondly, you have to define what you want to achieve her with this platform and find people with similar, and also stick to the growing process. Forget about the price of steem and network well-- that's the simple secret. It will all payoff in the end.
