Global Sisterhood Initiative Progress Post
A single facebook post and I am happy to announce I need to consider postage options.
I know fb is a rude word here.
But cross posting definitely has it's uses.
I have a growing bundle of lovely items in my home.
Several other people are scheduled to stop by.
We have seen a number of #untalented-mama posts over the past days.
It is lovely to see the love going out to @surpassinggoogle
The mother appreciation is very cool too.
My mother has been busy knitting for @schoolforsdg4
This is her contribution since I chatted with @azizbd a couple of days ago, about whether the mothers might like some beanies for the kids.
My mother in law has joined the sisterhood too.
She is a drop off point for her area of our sprawling city.
She just called to tell me her first bags of goodies have arrived.
From a friend of mine from my school days.
People are awesome.
Sometimes we don't know how to get started.
Or even if our endeavour is a sensible one.
But I will never limit the potential for discovering what is possible based on the limitations of someone else's fears.
Give something a go!
What's the worst that could happen by just trying?
Take a risk in believing in people and in yourself. # oftentimes it turns out OK.
I've never worried too much about what might be.
I would be more inclined I think to wonder what might have been. If I had a chance and didn't try.
Today I am researching shipping.
I think I might need to either send a few packages or a really big one.
I will forward the kids stuff today and keep gathering the items for the talented mamas.

Thanks for your kind words. It's nice to hear from you. Steemit helps me balance my life. I'm not working or socialising much. I spend time here, posting my little bits of crafting and rambling "poetry".
Some people here like @azizbd are working so hard for their community. If we can help them achieve change in the lives of so many with simple actions I think we have a responsibility. People are good.
We stroll by a homeless person and pretend that we don't see, and now we scroll by.
We don't stroll by because we don't care, but we don't know how to change things.
Steemit is different. When we can do things we collaborate, it is happening everywhere on this platform.
It does present potential for fraud, no doubt, but the benefits outweigh the small minority of people who are dishonest.
I got in a taxi to a doctors appointment the other day. The driver was from syhlet in Bangladesh. I had just been talking with @azizbd in steemchat. I talked about this programme. He told me,
" There is no way you could know 100% for sure where your things go, or what they end up doing with them, but you will be helping someone survive. The social divide is so great in Bangladesh, the very wealthy don't need your items and wouldn't care for them."
That was good enough for me, as it happens I have complete faith in @azizbd and his work. I don't need them to account for what they choose to do with it, as long as it helps in some way. Sell some for food or to replace the broken water filter .
