How to Add Twitch to Sharebits

Sharebits is a new toy for many of us. @alexpmorris did an amazing job building this toy for us and I have worked through some issues with him prior to its launch to help get it ready for as many users as possible. I love testing new tools and toys and sometimes I end up taking one for the team during these sessions. This helps everyone moving forward. We all need a hand sometimes.

This is how you add your twitch.tv account to sharebits.io Inside of sharebits.io scroll down to the section titled settings after logging in. Next, scroll down to the section that includes twitch so you can enter your username. Enter it and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to update settings and push it.





You will then see a popup that looks like this. Copy the token code.



Next, you will go to twitch.tv and log in to your account. As you noticed in the previous box it said to enter the code as your status on twitch.tv There is no actual place that says status on twitch.tv, the box that you need to enter the token into can be reached by hitting edit at the bottom of this section of your accounts main screen.





This is the screen you enter the token into, place it into the box that is labeled title. Save your changes and give twitch.tv about a full minute to update your user page.



Now go back to the sharebits.io page and click verify on this tab where you got the token from.





Once you verify on that tab twitch.tv will be added to sharebits.io. Now it is time for me to play some more inside of sharebits.io to figure out 100% what all I can do with twitch.tv and sharebits.io as a combination.
