That last post was unsuccessful, so just like I promised, if it didn't succeed then I will be going back to the drawing board to modify the plan.

I will learn from past failures to try to think of new and better ideas while reinventing old ones. STEEM adoption is the only focus.

I was sure that ¼ million dollars was a big enough to convince new STEEMIANS that they should have an opinion on which coin to vote for buying and selling because it would be in their own financial interest to do so. Maybe I was wrong to assume that since the economic incentives would benefit Steem Trade voters, then many people would want to participate. But since this was wrong thinking, I will have to try to grow the Steem Trade account myself or by different means. ¼ million dollars might not be much to local Steemians, but maybe 1/3 or even ½ might get the attention of people who want to support our educational blog and drive STEEM adoption.

The name obviously is bad so now it will be changed to The STEEM Fund for the Education of the Crypto Trading Community. Hopefully now people will know what Steem Trade was after when they first hear the name. I didn't want to have to spend much time on this, because I didn't think that it would be this difficult to get people here to help. Since I doubt that I will convince anyone here to donate much to the STEEMIT Fund for the Education of the Crypto Trading Community, I will just earn extra funds mining STEEM to grow the fund until it is big enough to attract more participants who want to learn about STEEM and trading. Our first goal would be to double the fund and that will probably be big enough to catch the eyes of some of the STEEM millionaire whales who could help us reach our goal of STEEM mass adoption much sooner with votes to build the fund. Or maybe it zero little traction as well which is exactly how much participation our launch received. Who really knows at this point. I am beginning to see that this whole idea might be another one for the trash icon.

Like I said, I didn't and don't want to have to do a whole lot of work here as I already have a brutal day job the rest of the year. Anyone can see that I have not been much of a STEEM participant overall, as I only have 3 posts, so eventually, I would want to give the keys of the fund to someone who has the time and ability to see that it lives on at least until STEEM has gained mass adoption. So I will be looking for ideas on how to make that transition after we have successfully brought STEEM up to the level of something like EOS which is what we are all really waiting for. To see how long and how much money it takes us to integrate the architecture of EOS into our community. One thing is for very certain. I will not be relinquishing the keys to this community fund until the EOS architecture has been integrated into our community, otherwise , it would be used to directly fund the upgrades. Because let's face it, the reason why we all here can be so generous to one another is because we all know where STEEM is headed once we have the improved to the scalability of EOS which is going to take us to the next level.

So since we went for a 48 hour voting time-frame and it failed to get one single vote even after 5 days, the community is obviously telling us that we need to make this time-frame smaller instead of larger. I am adding an element of chance to entice those who are at least a little addicted to gambling and discourage the potential gaming of the rules. The voting period will be variable to deter those who would try to game the intent of the rules by snipe bidding which is a tactic for those bidding on auctions to wait until the last second to vote. The rationale behind this rule change is that if participants know that the voting period could potentially end in 5 minutes from them reading the post, then they will feel compelled upon reading to vote immediately

These rule changes should definitely bring in more participants which will help grow the fund until STEEM finally attains EOS speeds because STEEM is free to send and receive and has the best distribution model which benefits hard workers with entrepreneurial business ideas like the STEEM Fund for the Education of the Crypto Trading Community.

Also, leading with our logo does not seem to work either, so we are going to lead with the talent who we are promoting so that they can enjoy some of the income that STEEM provides us all. This week is Zombwolf (@sprerku) who told me that he is ok with me using his images to help promote him on STEEMIT.

Hopefully I will be able to post weekly but probably monthly since I am busy most of the year except Christmas. Like a New Year's resolution, this community initiative might start off with a bang and wind up a monthly or seasonal publication at best. The more participation I receive, the more of my time I will offer. Because after that last community snubbing in my post #3, I cannot possibly receive any less participation in the future! Thank you STEEM community for providing me fun and learning, and I hope the new year sees you all in better circumstances. If this community initiative of mine still gets no traction at all, then it will probably be another year before I get around to posting again. But I will try to make that idea more popular than the last one which is still begging the community to help me spend 1/4 million dollars on crypto at Bittrex starting with BTC1:

Sort:

Steem - STEEM

Big Surprise! STEEM receives the most votes. 1 hour countdown to 1BTC buy begins now!

10 minutes until blast off. Everyone move your sell orders up now, because it looks like we are about to pump the price up some.

Countdown in 1 minute!

And blast off! 4747.74 STEEM purchased with BTC1 at the exact time. The STEEM community now owns 4747.74 STEEM. We will all be voting on how long to hold this or when to dump it. Thanks to everyone who participated @alphacore. Not to be a downer, but I don't know how much longer I can afford to devote my valuable time and energy to a community educational initiative that almost nobody shows up to. Here's to a more interesting BTC2!

WISH I WAS HERE

Damn!!!
Where have you been all my life. I wish our paths crossed earlier but there is a saying that whenever a man wakes up is his morning.

Better late than never.

You are officially my Mancrushmonday.

the most undervalued social network around and likely one of the most undervalued cryptocurrencies because of that. Steem has a hidden self-reinforcing virality coefficient through the power of search engines and it is working more each day with alexa rank climbing extremely fast. steemit and the other sites connecting to steem are poised to explode in popularity much faster than the inflation of steem as a currency, and with SMTs being added into the equation, the potential here is massive

Basic Attention Token - BAT

this one has potential once it is in use, but the risk is that something else invalidates it before it starts taking off

Ethereum - ETH

Ethereum acts as an umbrella for any token made on Ethereum, so when the values of the tokens increases the umbrella raises also. There are upcoming developments for this and some promising tokens as well so it could be a great investment over the next couple years, and certainly many developers have put their trust into this, but for lack of a better option which is part of the risk. This and EOS are likely to be like the apple and microsoft of crypto.
