As we connect across the miles, the oceans and continents between us, we share a common bond, and possibly share common interests too. As we engage with each other, we each begin to bounce off each other's ideas, sharing our thoughts, feelings and knowledge - sharing ourselves.

At times we may connect in meaningful ways, and at other times, we may not. Engaging, responding with respect, kindness, empathy and compassion, helps to build and sustain relationships. 

In this social hemisphere, my artwork becomes the vehicle that fills the unspoken space between us. It crosses boundaries, melting into time and space - collapsing the feeling space that sits between us - we all desire to feel heard and to feel valued.

Regardless of who we are or where we live - regardless of our circumstances - we all need a community to belong to.
