Financial Media WAS and STILL IS the KING OF FAKE NEWS
If you have followed me then you will know why I truly do believe this and I have believed this since I have started to play the game. The media are puppets in a arena full of experts. And these puppets are all that retail joe and fellow sheep follow each night when they get off of work. It's a damn shame is what it is and it needs to be changed. It is changing slowly but we are sooooo far behind.
Check out this simple reason why the financial FAKE NEWS media is the king of fake news and why MOST of retail investors dislike the stock market. Oil has had a huge rally in 2018 starting out at $60. If you bought oil early in the year great job! there were plenty of reason to hop on the train as it broke above that $61 level.
Then come the end of September and beginning of October we have major negative divergences in momentum and price on a weakly basis and we have the MEDIA NARRATIVE PUSHING $100...

Now look below...(first Circle) You have the first buy spot where you SHOULD have bought...and then you have the (second circle) FAKE NEWS MEDIA pushing to BUY OIL GOING TO $100 BLAH BLAH...this is just gross....
Now look where we are from all the $100 OIL CALLS...first key to success in this game is turn off the TV...this is one of the reasons why I write about this and love decentralization...

I always thought that when numbers are quoted they have to be accurate or it will be obvious to those in the know. As a result, I thought financial news will be more accurate. Obviously, I am not in the know...

Great post! Media has a free reign. They write what they want and most people are not interested in checking the facts!
I'm reading a book from Ramit Sethi right now - kind of general money education and how to automate your cards etc. Something I have literally nothing about as they just don't teach such stuff in the computer science uni :D And he's saying we should invest no matter what is happening right now...and me as a part of crypto community feel kinda opposed to invest into traditional stocks :D
Btw the percentual moves are sooo small compared to crypto hah :D

Oh Fake News, how you swindle so many people. I can hardly keep up, so I try to avoid the news as much as possible (especially on television). Luckily my boyfriend reads a lot from all different sources to try to keep up with what is actually going on in the world, so generally I use him to keep me up to speed on things going on outside of my kitchen. 😋
All the other "news" is manufactured for a purpose and the financial news is no different in my opinion. They need as many people as they can get in their game and so it will continue ....
More clicks, more viewers, more money. Thats all that matters to them
