Why do we need NASA again?
NASA To Cancel Lunar Resource Prospector Mission
.......................................................................................................................................................................................
How many 'missions', and 'projects' has NASA spent millions of dollars on only to cancel before completion?
Dozens at the very least...more likely hundreds if not thousands.
NASA is becoming more and more a 'money pit'. Pour money in...it vanishes. What do they accomplish?
Nothing apparent.
Private Enterprise, however, SpaceX for example....has already done something NASA can't do. SpaceX lands rockets after launch and reuses them later. NASA can't do that. SpaceX spends MILLIONS of dollars LESS on each launch.
Oh wait...NASA hasn't got any launch capability any longer...it has to buy it from someone else.
Why DO we need NASA any longer?
In my own personal opinion, I think a lot of money is spent on tech, if these spent cash is used for developing human or maybe other projects, it would actually help a lot.
tech DOES develop human or other projects...how else could it be done?
Although you probably wouldn't want a monopoly on space travel by a single (private) company. I think you're right on this one.
If they can achieve their goals. Then the private sector is obviously far more capable of handeling projects like this.
One last problem I can see, is that it will be harder for SpaceX to hire international employees. Compared to a government funded/backed organization.
the private sector is obviously far more capable
That's all you needed to say..
SpaceX DOES have international employees.
A private company can't generate a monopoly by itself, if SpaceX is getting it so far, is because of the subsidies they receive from the State.
Nothing Government run can EVER compete with private enterprise.
Did Milton Friedman not say "Put government in charge of Deserts and we would have a shortage of sand within a short time".
Government serve no useful purpose. I do not know of anyone who thinks government do them any good.
The lefties hate government because they do not get enough free stuff, always marching looking for more housing, more jobs, more this and that.
The righties hate government as a majority of their income is extorted to finance the people they disagree with the most, the Lefties.
So both sides agree on one thing, government is the problem.
We do not need NASA along with most of the other government agencies. Wasting trillions of $ over the years, all borrowed money + interest.
So why do we not get rid of something we all agree is either doing is no good, stealing from us or even killing us.
Is Voting the problem? Voting is a game we are allowed to play every few years, if voting changed anything it would be illegal.
What If we all decided to stop playing the game?
What if everyone voted “NONE OF THE ABOVE”?.
Do you need to be governed by anyone?.
by the accepted definition of right/left there are only left and far left politicans and parties.
sir @everittdmickey NASA is the best no doubt so i think that.
Amazing idea of the post
Well done
I think NASA is good sir
I think ISRO is good then Nasa and SpaceX if cost of launching any satellite is considered..
I am highly suspect about NASA full stop to be honest, as I have seen so many inconsistencies in live feeds, and so many wires on people in the "supposed" international space station, that I smell a rat, a money pit rat, have you checked any of the yt videos that highlight these? I would be happy to provide some links, if you are interested.
oddly enough...I've seen the ISS...
binoculars are a thing..
Oh I do not doubt it is there, I doubt though they spend millions to visit it, as making videos at home is far less expensive, just saying.
Elon Musk is in on the fraud is he?
and Blue Origin.
and what's his name from England?
and the Russians..
and the Chineese...
and the Japanese..
it's an INTERNATIONAL conspiracy..
all making home movies...
right..
gotcha..that's totally it.
Not MY tax dollars, I care not.
'phantom wire"
I'll take a roll...I could use it for my boat.
ever hear of 'center of gravity?"
Yes I do believe I use this concept daily, whilst riding motorbikes.
NASA is like anything else that is government backed, too much red tape to cut through to actually be effective. Too many people need to approve things before anything can be done. And funding is constantly being cut and there are a lot more rules that need to be followed by government run agencies. Elon Musk can make his own decisions fairly quickly and run things based on his own rules for the most part. Private sector has many advantages. You made a great point with this one
