Methane is a significant cause of global warming

According to the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), the oil and gas industries alone release 75 million metric tons each year. In response, the organization is planning to launch MethaneSAT to identify major sources of methane emissions and identify opportunities for reduction. If all goes the plan, EDF hopes to launch the satellite early in 2021.
It's not. Methane is a more 'powerful' 'green-house gas' than CO2.. Water vapor is immensely more powerful than the two of the put together. .Human activity is inconsequential.
That is if there were such a thing as global warming. There's not. The planet is getting colder. The winters are getting colder and longer.
The ocean IS getting warmer...odd that.
Perhaps those thousands of undersea volcanic eruptions might have something to do with it?
All that tax money spent on a satellite. Wasted. Perhaps it has an alternative use?
When NASA published it's results from the first SABER study is when Obama was made to punish them by slashing their budget. I believe it was like 2012 this happened. I had the original publication, which found that CO2 and Methane, to be minor contributors to global warming at best. While good old fashion clouds and water came in first by a long shot. These studies were conducted in northern Australia and Hungary. Needless to say these countries have no plans of carbon taxing at this time. ;)

People say that "it's not the blind man's fault but who gives him the cane" ... Therefore, who is responsible for giving those instructions to those organizations to carry out a project like MethaneSAT? ... Someone must authorize with solid arguments... that should be the right thing ...

It's part of the new "green" industrial complex. World leaders and politicians, handing out ridiculous contracts to their buddies and campaign contributors, who are beginning a new enterprise that is profitable. Nothing new here.

Robert Jackson, a scientist and researcher at Stanford University in the United States, said that carbon dioxide concentrates on the ongoing program to prevent climate change. There are enough reasons behind this. But since we do not look at methane gas, it can be risky.
The Saber study already looked at Methane (NASA).
