Home sweet home
The first thing I did when I got home was open up my Webtoon app to catch up on some comics. It felt nice to stretch out on my bed with no plans and no worries. I also took a long nap, it was great. When I woke up @kommienezuspadt and @guthrie were gone. I guess they were at @caffetto hanging out.
Today, I’m sharing the comics that I’m currently reading on Webtoon. Let me know if you have any that you’d recommend. I’ve heard great things about one titled “Dice” that I’ll be checking out once I’m caught up on everything on my list.
“Sweet Home”
A reclusive high school student is suddenly forced to leave his home due to an unexpected turn of events.
I’m terrible when I’m watching thriller movies and I’m a mess walking into haunted attractions, but comics are the one things I can do. I’ve read the webtoon “Bastard” by Youngchan Hwang/Carnby Kim and I thought it was brilliant, “Sweet Home” is equally suspenseful. This is a very dark story filled with psychologically fucked characters drawn in a creepy style which will give you goosebumps with each page turn!
“Let’s Play”
Sam wants to be a game developer, but before her career can get started, a popular gaming personality posts a video of himself playing her first game and gives it a bad review. To make matters worse, she soon finds out he’s her new neighbor! -A story about gaming, memes, and social anxiety. Come for the plot, stay for the doggo.
I absolutely LOVE everything about this webtoon! The inner nerd in me greatly approves. All the nerd scenes are relatable and the author’s presents social anxiety in a hilarious and eye opening way. The supporting characters are fun and quirky and Sam’s dog Browser is the cutest ball of fluff you’ll ever see. If you’re not into reading Webtoon’s then you better start today and with this one!
“My Dear Cold-Blooded King”
Born a humble peasant, Kihara Mei has lived simply day by day as a merchant in the capital, and never assumed things would change. But, one fateful day would change the course of her life, when faced with a deadly challenge against dangerous royal assassins. Now, with the eyes of the dreaded Blood King upon her, her life of simplicity would now become a tangled web of secrecy, deceit, and desire.
I was really into this story when it first came out but now it’s beginning to lose it’s momentum for me. Half the time I find myself reading webcomics to read the hilariously outrageous comments left by other readers. I’m pretty much sticking around to find out who Kihara Mei ends up with, because you’ve guessed it, she’s got a wide selection of hero’s looking to ‘woo’ her. If you’re into romance, mild martial arts and a little mystery then this one might suit your taste!
“Age Matters”
A 29 year old hopeless romantic wonders if her time has come and gone, until she meets a 23 year old billionaire bachelor with a secret. -In love, does age really matter?
I started reading this because it was featured on the discover page. I’m still feeling it out.
“Miss Abbott and the Doctor”
Doctor Andreas Marino loves his quiet life, filled with work and simple amusements, and when the strange Miss Abbott arrives in his town he decides he doesn’t like her at all. Unfortunately she’s funny and quirky, has an uncommon past and seems to enjoy getting him in trouble. -Welcome to a sketchy Victorian rom-com!
Ugh, I love this webtoon and not only because it’s set in the Victorian era. This is another webtoon that I could never get tired of reading. Besides the wonderful storyline, the drawings are fantastic! Each page is drawn in pencil and then cleaned up digitally. It might look really simplistic at first glance but don’t let that fool you! The costume designs are so beautiful, the hair styles and features on each character stand out for each individual, and the settings are well thought out. The author also creates new characters with each chapter named after her patrons from Patreon. Isn’t that wonderful?
“My Giant Nerd Boyfriend”
A height difference of 30cm and above might seem adorable to some, but it usually causes a lot of minor inconveniences. Follow Fishball as she navigates the Malaysian life with her 199cm-tall, geeky boyfriend.
Looking for a funny/quick easy read? This webtoon is for you! I can’t remember where I first read one of fishball’s short slice of life comics but it lead me to download the Webtoon app. I even got to meet her and her boyfriend in real life at C2E2!!! I was so excited! I told her that I also play Magic: The Gathering and that her stories brighten up my day. :)
“Tower of God”

Tower of God has been around for awhile now and I’m almost positive that it’s an ongoing series. I saw the title floating around Mangafox but didn’t have time to read it until last year...or maybe it was the year before.. The gist of the story is that you make your way up the tower and your greatest desires will come true. I don’t want to reveal too much about this one because I’ve waited for the chapters to bulk up so I can binge read. Just read it! You won’t regret it!

I love lets play but eggnoid, days of hana and siren's lament got my atrention for now.... Still following lookism too but im tired of jiho's story, i want to know who the real daniel is.
Age matters is another cliche noona romance.

I read some of Oh! Holy and Siren’s Lament but I stopped, maybe I should pick it back up. I’ve seen the Eggnoid title floating around so I’ll have to check that out!
Thank you for all the reccs! From all of them, I've only heard about Tower of God, so it's great to find a lot of other stuff that looks interesting
and might absorb all of my free timehehe. If having too much of good stuff, I can't be complaining, can I? XDYay! Let me know what you think after reading Tower if God. :) Its so relaxing to read these stories when you’ve got moments to spare!
Wow, just wow, thank you for showing me this existed! I am already hooked on the Victorian one, no surprise there. I love this.
Of course now it's making me want to spit out my characters, but I will be patient and finish my current projects but I keep getting little hints from 'fate' telling me to get back to them at some point. Don't you love kismet?!

Yes, patience is key or else your other projects will get left behind. I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling motivated! Yesterday we met with a friends of ours who is also an artist and he chatted about the things he could make if he didn’t have a large workload hanging over his head. It really put everything into perspective and I’m grateful that I still have wiggle room to jump from project to project.
