A really classic looking card that sports a throwback image of one of my favorite Xmen, Nightcrawler.
The back has some cool stats that include physical attributes but also adds up the total amount of battles and breaks it down by wins/losses/ties. I thought that was pretty sweet.
Art by Dave Cockrum who created Nightcrawler in 1975 while stationed in Guam. Thanks for your service, Dave!
I was always curious if those battle stats were pulled out of thin air or if some crazed staffer/fan actually compiled them after a ton of reading!
Nowadays you could probably get pretty good stats from crowdsourced wiki projects and such, but in 1991 that wasn't too feasible...
