Hal Jordan's story Pt 2

As the Parasite Parallax entered his body, Hal Jordan went mad.

On his mad man mission to restore his former city (Coast City) he killed most of the Green Lanterns and most of the Guardians of Oa. As Parallax, he was set to undo history and shape it to his will using the maximum power of the Green Lantern Central Battery in Oa, but the other superheroes of Justice League some DC universe heroes and the remaining of the Green Lantern Corps who weren't dead, teamed up and stopped his plans.

Along the teamed up heroes, Kyle Rayner was among them. Kyle Rayner was appointed as Green Lantern after Hal Jordan went rogue.

Almost at the end of the terrible battle, Hal, as Parallax, sacrificed himself when a giant alien was devouring the sun. Hal used his magnificent powers to revive the sun, something that took a toll on his body and mind, rendering him destroyed. His spirit left his body and became one with the Spectre.

The Spectre is an avenging spirit of God who fixed the wrong things in life and hunted those guilty, making Hal start to pay for his mistakes and sins, but it would not be the end of Hal Jordan.

After a while, the Green Lanterns discovered that Parallax was an ancient enemy of the GL Corps who was trapped in the Central Battery in Oa. This entity was still with Hal, but with the joined effort of the Green Lanterns who were still alive, they reinstated Hal's spirit into his body and defeated Parallax, sealing him again into the Central Battery, and restoring the Guardians to oversee the Green Lanterns.
