i love when ink is used to push the contrast with the white on the page, to the point where if you squint, you can see actual shapes and not just lines. the magic of inking haha
Yeah, I've always been a huge fan of super graphic-looking comics. I think a successful comic is one where you don't even need color, although it all comes down to personal preference in the end.
this is more on the graphic end (thick ink lines), but you might be interested in "Black Metal Omnibus" by Rick Spears and Chuck BB. I'm by no means a black metal music fan haha but the artwork is truly breathtaking. There's a simplicity to it. Check it out if you can!
