I started checking out "The Boys" on Amazon and is slowly falling in love with the premise, as I check out each episode. Based on a comic book that was originally published by Wildstorm and then found its way to Dynamite Entertainment, "The Boys" presents a world where superheroes are for hire and just cant get enough of their own celebrity status. Vought International is responsible for marketing this superhero group, known as The Seven, and is making quite a bit of money doing so.

Fear not though because there is a band of vigilantes ready to take down these corrupt do-gooders (lol) known as The Boys. Karl Urban, who portrayed Skurge in "Thor: Ragnarock," is totally amazing as Billy Butcher, the leader of The Boys. Jack Quaid, known for his portrayal of Marvel in "The Hunger Games," gets pulled into the world of The Boys after his girlfriend is killed by one of the superheroes in a reckless act of speed.

Some people may remember Erin Moriarty as Hope Shlottman in "Jessica Jones." She portrays Starlight, who is the rookie among The Seven, meaning she also has to deal with the bad behavior of the other members. This is especially true when it comes to Chace Crawford, Nate Archibald from "Gossip Girl," who portrays The Deep, an aquatic superhero who can't keep it in his pants.

It should be noted that Wildstorm was a part of the DC Comics vision, but had to stop publishing "The Boys" due to their notion that a group of anti-heroes didn't work within their current roster of heroes at that time. I guess that was good news for Dynamite. I hope my little teaser here gets more people willing to give this show a shot. Amazon did sign "The Boys" up for a second season before the first season even aired. Plus, you would get to see Simon Pegg with an American accent!
