X-O Manowar / Iron Man in Heavy Metal #1 (September 1996) by Marvel and Valiant Comics

Baron Zemo has reassembled the Masters of Evil, a motley assembly of the most vile villains imaginable. He has also aligned himself with Arnim Zola.  Can even the combined might of Iron Man and the Valiant universe's most technologically advanced weapon of destruction, X-O Manowar, stop the single biggest threat to both universes?  Written by Fabian Nicieza and drawn by Andy Smith.

Was there a video game based on this team-up?

There in fact was, released on PlayStation, Saturn, Game Boy, Game Gear, and DOS. The game came before the comic, so really the comic was based on the video game.

I can't imagine Marvel doing a team-up with another company in a video game like this again unless it was huge, like Marvel vs DC the game huge. Back then though, before Robert Downey played Tony Stark, Iron Man was not that big or liked of a character like he is now. He was a main player for sure, but not the near face of Marvel he is now.

Here I found the Playstation gameplay video. I remember I have this game during the late 1990s.
