McFarlane did 80s Batman? And he was clearly echoing that older classic Batman style as established by Colan and Colan (before he developed into his now-inextricable-from-90s-Image over-muscled style?l Wow!
The earliest Batman comic I ever read was that one where he fought someone called Night-Slayer. Most generic costume EVER -- but apparently such a badass that he was able to kick Batman's ass and steal his costume for a while if I remember correctly. And they were apparently struggling over ... Vicky Vale, I think? No, Nocturna, that was her name! I forget what her deal was, just that she was some kind of quasi-villanous-but-not-really hot babe.
Ahhh, good times reading those old-ass comics as a kid ...
I have never seen anything like this before, never even knew McFarlane worked on Batman! Super cool collectible here! Great post!
