Sounds like you managed to have a good time. :) I'm afraid networking isn't a natural skill set for me either. I'd very much prefer to be typing away, but ti does come a bit easier to talk to people the more I get older. I'm not sure if that's everyone's experience, but I'm guessing it must be to some degree.
It sounds to be like you've got a decent plan or strategy in place for your con hopping. The more you can learn from peers the better.
I've yet to make it to a comic convention myself. There's a couple that aren't too far away that happen every year. Maybe this summer will be the time to do it. :)
Comic Cons are a good time... of course I may be biased. I always get that sense of, “Ah! My people are here!” Most are very friendly & welcoming too. It’s one of the few crowds I can tolerate, as it seems most everyone is patient, polite, & understanding for the most part.
