Ah shoot! You know, I was supposed to write about this waaaay down the line for my TBT. A #tbt topic for my TBT series, if you will. Since you have your own, I can't imagine how I'm going to top that! I'll just leave my thoughts on that here in the comment.
First of all, your cornerbox looks super slick! Man, the details on your characters are really amazing. Your color game is so strong. I miss these little things. I always liked seeing them especially in my X-Men comics way back in the day. It felt like I was missing a huge chunk of the comics when they did away with that. I don't what it is about floating heads that made me giddy, but it really kind of set the scene even before you look at the cover. So great that you're bringing it back for your comics!
As for the numbering, if Marvel can bring it back with their Legacy initiative, so could you! I really love it when the numbers go high up. Makes me think that I'm part of something long-lasting even when I'm just a reader. @drwatson's work looks gorgeous as well! I'm a sucker for Lovercraftian stories, so I'll definitely check that out soon.
Thanks for the compliments. Glad to hear you even like the colors. That is a weakness in my opinion, but I worked pretty hard when I was coloring the character concept art those floating heads were pulled from and have been trying to study more. If the value of Steem continues to rise, I honestly may be looking to spend a bit to hire a truly professional colorist and save myself some time and aggravation and put out a better quality book!
There's plenty more to cover about the magic of the cornerbox, I'd love to read a column you put together on it. I particularly love some of the runs where an artist would basically make a mini comic strip, such as Banner changing into the Hulk played out a frame at a time over the course of 4 to 6 months! But the floating heads will always be my favorite. With a quick glance you know which characters will be focused on that week and it just primes you to read!
Really? They must have SUPER HIGH standards then. Because your colors here are way better than the average. Delegating work is cool though if it makes stuff better.
Oh yeah I remember that! My favorite is the "devolution of Magik, from Ilyana to the Ruler of Limbo haha! That is, apart from the classic floating heads.
You don't have any original pages to sell if you work all digital. One of the downsides. Accept prints I guess, but we know people like to collect penciled pages or inked paged of their favorite spreads or books.
There are certainly pros and cons, and there is something so satisfying about a physical piece...
But ultimately I feel like I can get a better quality product to print faster working digitally. And if there’s ever a demand for it, I can still pick up the pencils & Micron pens to do some commission pieces and sketch covers!
Unfortunately, the comic culture in my country is not developed and now with the current situation less, but I would have loved to read comic when I was a girl, I bet it would be much more fanatical ;)
Your comics cover has a nice perspective on the car.
I use every dirty trick I can get my hands on. I used a free 3D car model in Google Sketchup to get the angle I was looking for.
I'm the same way. Google Sketchup has unbelievable library. I take a Wally Wood Philosophy or else nothing would ever get done : ).
I've got "22 Panels That Always Work" hanging next to my drafting table.

Nice work on the cover. Great look for the trademark in the top left corner. Def reminds me of 1990's Marvel.
steem-comic-con?
that’s good to hear!
I hope someday we will be able to do comic book festivals on block chains.
Wish you all the best with your project... looks interesting... nice job!
Looking good! Keep it up imhoff!
Thank you! Too bad I work pretty much all digital... I’ll never have a piece listed in one of your Art Traffic Review columns!

Looking forward to the updates! I really like your logo.
Thank you, I love seeing your Ithaqa pages and I’m so happy you joined Steemit as well!
