Killer Covers!!! Part 2

Detective Comics #880 was released in July of 2011. Throughout this particular run, there were some purdy covers but in my eyes...this one takes the cake. The master behind this amazing piece is British artist Mark Simpson...better known as “Jock” in the comic world. He’s done some amazing work in this industry but this particular image hits me hard. It’s so striking and odd and visually scary and beautiful. I feel a ton of things when I see this book. I feel overall excitement when I’m lucky enough to find one at a comic shop or a convention for a few bucks. A few bucks is a hell of a deal on this considering near mint copies typically fetch around $150 Beans. Got it graded and we’re lucky enough to snag a 9.8? Well then it’s fetching anywhere between $400-$500. Not too shabby for a book that was $2.99 just 7 years ago....

I wish I knew who made this animated gif in this. A few years ago I can across a handful of these that were absolutely awesome!
