Crazy Comic Auction
This is the first time I’ve ever been to an auction. I’m in Edison NJ at Bodnar’s Auctions and taking part in a pretty sweet collection of comics, toys, and memorabilia. I am FLABBERGASTED at the prices some of these items are commanding. Thinking this might be a good way to get rid of lots of the random things I gave laying around the back of the shop or that’s still in storage.
I'm probably going to regret asking this, but what's the absolute shithouse-rat-level crazy thing you've seen so far? :)
Perhaps you should clarify if your question is limited to the scope of the auction... if not... I think we’re in for some stories! 😂

At that auction we saw a poorly restored copy of the first appearance of Bizarro go for almost a grand. Maybe should have went for a couple hundred bucks.
Yeah, that sounds like you really need to bring some stuff to offload. People with more money than sense sometimes run rampant at auctions like that. :)
Yeah I think we are going to round up a bunch of sitting product for their November auction. See how it goes.

Shipping things to Thailand is expensive - and better in one lot.

It just goes to show that you never truly know what someone is looking for when it comes to collectibles.
People were overpaying for so many things. Not even overpaying as in from my point of view as a retailer. I mean overpaying as in overall overpaying. I was so shocked.
