2018 San Diego Comic Con Cosplay ~ Part 1 of 3
My good friend Ron O is my main man on the street for events in So Cal and since I was unable to attend this years San Diego Comic Con for the first time in 16 years, Ron was kind enough to let me live vicariously through him. I’ll be posting some gallery shots of amazing upcoming product that was shown off and on display....juuuuuuust as soon as I get through the fantastic cosplay shots he sent me.
These amazing folks put in a ton of hard work in designing their costumes. They are super dedicated to the hobby and take time to graciously pose for pics for the thousands that ask on the con floor. Kudos to you all. There are a ton of pics he sent me over the course of the con...I think over 50 cosplay alone so I’ll be doing these in 3 parts over the next 3 days. Here is part 1. Hope you enjoy.
Special Thanks to my So Cal Man on the Street, Ron O!
Some pretty impressive costume efforts there - as well as a couple that I can't unsee...... Thanks Ron O
Lol. Yeah Con is full of surprises. Lol
Stay tuned for part 2!
Somewhere I read that the best way to get tickets for the next year's event is to buy them at he current event. Any light you can share about that?
They used to offer that. I’ve been going every year since 2003 and in let’s say...the first 10 years or so you used to be able to do that. Not so much anymore.
I will let you in on a tip though. Each comic book shop is offered tickets. 1 free and 1 pay. Make friends with a shop owner that is not going to use theirs. Tell them you’ll go to the diamond comics breakfast for them in which case they will get a care package sent to them filled with freebies. All in exchange for the ticket that they are not using anyway. Or just offer them cash for it.
That Gremlins 2 cosplay is amazing.
Phenomenal. Love seeing creative people slay at cosplay.
Haha good to see ol captain Kirk is still about @blewitt
Just chillin in the Gas Lamp District of San Diego.
San Diego Comic con is on my bucket list. Always watch videos from panels and amazing costumes on youtube and follow few artists on instagram but would love to see the quality of work in real life. Thanks for sharing the photos.
This was sadly the first year in 16 straight that I missed. Kinda blows but needed to recharge a bit. It’s a great show though and worth the trek.
I am so jealous, it will be huge trip for me including lots of formalities to get visa and stuff. I will try it. Always put it for next year when I have my own toys to show in designer toy section.
Dude if you ever seriously consider going lmk. Same with NYCC. Great and insane show there as well.
