Nice job. Do you think you would be better off buying a new scanner that doesn't need a computer if you only want the computer for the scanner? My printer /scanner /photocopier is wireless or USB stick/SD card and it cost less than $200 cad. Probably cheaper than a computer.
I thought that's what i was doing when i bought this printer/scanner. In addition to that I have a wireless router that also requires a Windows computer to setup. So a Windows machine is a better choice but your suggestion is very solid. I'm keeping my eyes and my options open.
