RE: Three Brothers—Comedy Open Mic Round #22

Okay, so my answer is this—I trust 35 year olds who are out on their own, married, and preferably with a child, and who have struggled some to get to where they are (versus everything being easy or handed to them) than I do a 25 year old single guy whose going through life like a video game on easy mode.

In other words, I think whiz kid intellect is great, but I want it tempered by real life. I don't want anyone making life or death decisions for any of us, but since it does have to be done, I'd prefer someone with a few more miles on the tires.

As far as Steemit goes, I'd like someone who's mature enough to know that not everyone is going to get or understand why certain things are the way they are, or why certain things are being done or not done. I would like someone who recognizes that this is a community, a large group of highly interested and capable people, who would prefer more than lip service when it comes to asking for input. I want someone who can explain to me what's going on, not just say, "Don't worry, dude," or give me a bunch of technobabble that probably doesn't answer my question anyway.

I'd also like someone who understands social media. I don't think we have that as much as we have an investment platform right now.

That's probably enough. While I don't think youth is totally worthless, because it's not, you need more out of them in order to instill confidence, because they don't have the life experience to make practical experiences because they don't have anything to compare it to. They need to run into some opposition first, become sadder but wiser, and I don't know that you get that very much before your 35. Some, yes. Most, no.
