The Best of Bitconnect's Carlos
By now everybody knows that Bitconnect (BCC) was a Ponzi scheme that died a couple of weeks ago and took away the clueless/greedy investors' bitcoins. The outcome is truly unfortunate and it's really bad that well-meaning people with enriching aspirations have lost their savings and right now have no safety net. However, this moment marked a big "I told you so" among the members of the crypto community.
In these dark days when all the coins are bleeding and everyone spreads FUD for speculative purposes, I invite you to have a good laugh with Carlos. He's a guy from New York City who took the stage at the Bitconnect conference and stole the show. Perhaps it's safe to say that the Carlos memes and jokes are the best outcome that our community acquired after the whole Bitconnect charade, and I'm sure that a good laugh can be healthy during gloomy times.

Certainly, there must be dozens of other such videos, but I've only picked my favorite. It's incredible how creative and funny internet users can be and how we learn to move on from terrible tragedies by having a good laugh at the situation.
Perhaps that some of the videos are actually meant to mock Bitconnect and their ridiculous publicity stunts (and hey hey heeeeey, it worked), but art itself serves the purpose of elevating spirits and offering closure for certain unpleasant events in our lives. Is it wise to have a laugh while other people are grinning with the money they stole? No, but it's certainly healthier than mourning and feeling like it's the end of the world. If you followed the "Invest only what you can lose" rule, then maybe that it's best to take this as a lesson.
@vladcostea I like the meme as much as the next guy. I do have sympathy for those who lost money and hope you're not one of those people.
Definitely not, but I do know someone who lost the money he invested and was still convinced that BCC would bounce back. He didn't believe in Carlos' prophetic "THAT'S A SCAM!" statement, he ignored the red flags about Bitconnect being a Ponzi, and probably thought he was close to the top of the pyramid.
As for myself, I'm only guilty of buying Bitcoin at a price that I now regret :)
