Hot Rod is the story of self proclaimed stunt man, Rod Kimble, as he prepares for the stunt jump of his life. He's trying to clear 15 buses, one more than Evil Knievel jumped, in order to raise money for his abusive step father Frank's heart operation. It was released into theaters on August 3, 2007. And directed by Akiva Schaffer.

It stars hilarious familiar actors such as:
Andy Samberg
Jorma Taccone
Bill Hader
Danny McBride
& Isla Fisher

With hilarious supporting roles from:
Ian McShane
Will Arnett
Chris Parnell
& Chester Ascheson

I thought this movie was fucking hilarious. Andy Samberg is pretty funny but Bill Hader and Danny McBride are fucking hilarious. Even though they're roles aren't the main characters, they still crack me up the most. Bill Hader plays a kind of stoner slacker kind of guy who works at the ice skating rink and Danny McBride plays the tough guy of the group. Throughout the movie Rod constantly embarrasses himself with the ridiculous stunts that he pulls all over town for many different audiences at birthdays and local swimming pools. In his mind, his stunts are epic and death defying, but turn out to be embarrassing and sometimes unnecessary.

He's trying to save his step-father's life by doing one big stunt, but he's not saving Frank's life because he loves him, he's doing it so that he can kick his ass. Rod and Frank's relationship is solely based off of the fact that he can't beat Frank in a fight. It's almost ritual for Rod to suit up and battle it out with Frank in the basement. But, his heart condition makes that impossible. Making Frank the undefeated champ if he dies. Rod ain't having that shit. His goal is to get Frank better, and kick his ass! 4/5! At times it could be pretty corny, but it was definitely worth the watch. Check it out!
