Come and Draw Contest #1 : Luda Lumina

This is my entry to the Come And Draw Contest by @hadley4 you may check this post if you want to join.

Luda Lumina is the name of the cyberpunk girl I created. She has darker skin and platinum hair. She absorbs light from her environment and uses that to power her spear and breast plate. Luda can also turn into a bright almost luminous being if she so desires but that requires a great amount of light to absorb.

The process

My initial draft. I want a dark skinned character with black long hair and elf ears

Trying different arm positions and started with a red weapon but still undecided if it will be a gun, shuriken or boomerang.

At this point, it is looking rather incohesive I guess the brown and golden details are not working

Instead of scrapping this idea I decided to change the hair color and its shape to give it more edge. The platinum , red and blue palette works for me.
