Kick to the groin - Is that all?

in #combat5 years ago

There is something you might hear over and over. You listen to this so much that you start thinking this is the only place to attack. When you fight for self defense, you want to hit the nearest target and vulnerable points.

When we talk about striking with hands, we think about the punch. Yes, you can punch to the attacker. But punch is not the only strike that you can do with your hands. You can strike with open hands. You can slap, do palm strike, finger jab, hammer fist, chop, elbow strike, and so on.

But if you start thinking that punch is only effective strike that you can do with your hands, you are limiting yourself. Likewise, if you think kicking there is only effective strike that you can with your legs, you should think again.

You can kick the attacker's ankle, foot, knee, thigh, chest, stomach, neck, back, head, chin, throat, and so on. There are some assumptions like if you hit there, the guy cannot do anything and fall down on the ground, and then you do not have to do anything.

If you punch or kick someone, he might absorb it. He might not feel that pain. You should go for more strikes. For self defense, you have to keep striking, don't think one strike over there will do the job.

The attacker's body position is an important factor that you should consider while fighting for self defense. If the attacker is in front of you, but he places his body to the side, you will find it difficult to hit there. If the person does not put his body to the side and he is in front of you, you can strike more effectively.

I have made a post recently where a girl strikes the attacker and hits there that we are talking about. Here's the video.

You can see the attacker's body position when she hits there. The most important thing you can pay attention is that she does not strike once. First, she removes his hand from her shoulder, slaps him, hit there and knee charge.

Please don't think one strike will do the job, and sometimes you need to strike more. There is no magic button you can press for self defense. You have to be practical and think based on reality.

oh wow she did kicked his nuts i'm very excited what happened after it.

I've trained in Kempo and one of the things we did to endure pain and gain muscle control over the area better was kick each other in the gonads. I bet @jackmiller would like this one!

@tipu curate

If you train any martial art, you know how the pain feels like. You have to go throw different training. There are some parts of the body that cannot be conditioned. And that could be the primary target if you fight for self defense. Thank you @enginewitty for your comment!
