Cyprus is an amazing island. On the Greek side, where the Euro area, the prices of all goods, products and restaurants are much more expensive than us. It would seem that with a small purse here is not particularly dispersed. But there is another side of the island - Turkish. Here you can buy goods many times cheaper.

For some reason, many tourists rush there, to the Turkish side. It's not really publicized, but it is. Who found out the secret of the local way of life of Cypriots, be sure to want to save. Exactly the same reason we are. During a trip to the capital of the island, Nicosia, we found not only the neighborhoods with Turkish textiles, but also found a large covered market, where in addition to clothes sell vegetables with fruit, and even... books.

Prices here are even lower. Strawberries, for example, which are sold here and in may, we bought not very much, so as not to crumple it in queues and not to carry with you for many kilometers to the hotel. Washed and ate at a time in the local Park.

T-shirts or scarves here you can bargain for 20-30 Lira (300-500 rubles.), but if you're lucky, it is easy to meet as much as 5 Lira for the same product.

I never understood why there was such a large selection of books on the market. However, many people came and bought. I did not know that in this respect the Turks are somewhat similar to us. Even someone's dirty bust is oddly reminiscent of our Alexander!

We had another trip to the Turkish side. The Ghost town of Famagusta. But I want to make some reports about this, because we were there waiting for a number of interesting adventures.
