RE: This Totally Rocks! - By Steve J Huggett
Beautiful colourful rocks!
I see agate, amethyst and some
jaspers. These are much cooler to
find than eggs. Imagine finding a
old Easter egg that was not found
the years before! hehe
I was thinking of rocks also for today.
They are both colourful and macro :-)
Oh you have a 't' on the end of the
photofeed tag you might want to
edit so these pretty rocks can be
seen more 💎
Thanks @shasta You know your rocks!
I can't see any chocolate getting the chance to go off in my house lol!
Well spotted on the "Tag" thank you :)
Welcome :-)
We have a lot of the agate and jaspers
here on the beaches of Alaska, love
hunting them.
Chocolate don't get lost here either, it
never has time to hehe
What is your fav choc? we sure like
Lindt, Swiss dark choc, but the USA
stuff isn't as perfect ;-)
We don't get fancy rocks on the beaches here unfortunately, I'm not far from were they Bluestones were mined for Stonehenge.
Not a big fan of Lindt, but we are spoilt for choice here in the Uk Green & Blacks Orangic dark chocolate is up there with the best!
:)
Now that would be cool to live near some megaliths!
Is the dark blue stone in your photo a piece of the blue
sarsen stones? The light blues look like agate.
I will look for some the choc you mentioned! :-)
I haven't got to the quarry site as yet.
"Carn Goedog as the main source of Stonehenge’s ‘spotted dolerite’ bluestones and the outcrop of Craig Rhos-y-felin as a source for one of the ‘rhyolite’ bluestones" http://www.ucl.ac.uk/news/news-articles/1215/071215-stonehenge-bluestone-quarries
Enjoy the choc :)
Thank you very much for the link!
First time I've seen this very cool quarry!
If it's possible in the future to get some
photographs of these ancient stones and
others, I'd sure enjoy to seeing them :-)
Have a great weekend ☀
