These beautiful macaws travel in groups of up to a dozen or more at times, filling the sky with such an amazing colour display, pretty much defying words.

These were taken using my Canon PowerShot SX60 HS

I only ever saw one, and it was in flight, but it was a beautiful and amazing site! It was near Jaco, driving from San Jose to the beach as we were coming close to the ocean after Rio Tarcoles.

Hello my friend
hi my best friend,, how're you,,
I am great thanks - hope you are having an awesome weekend. ☺️
Do they fight a lot? It looks like someone took some bites on the breast of the bird on the left.
We have LOTS of red winged black birds and starlings right now. They discovered the bird feeders for the smaller birds and now are taking over. Luckily the weather is getting warmer so I don't feel as obligated to feed the chickadees, cardinals, and blue jays (a very big bird but we only have 2).
Take care @sallybeth23. I always love looking at your photos!
Hi 💙 yes they do fight a lot and screech a lot haha but I do love them .so glad to hear your weather is getting warmer ☀️
