Colourful Photography: Medicine Buddha, พระพุทธเจ้ารักษาโรคภัยไข้เจ็บ

This is my entry for colourfulphotography contest hosted by @juliank.

This oil painting was bought from a Tibetan shop in Bangkok several years ago, at a very good price. But the person who volunteered to it framed for me was my Malaysian friend who used to spend many years living in Thailand. She owned a very well known art gallery in Silom Road. Her collections were amazing old works of mostly dead or very old Thai artists who were heavily influenced by the post-impressionism. But she passed away two years ago in Malaysia; her sister told me of the sad news over the phone.

Today I just notice that in the middle of the painting is the Medicine Buddha. Usually Medicine Buddha would be painted in blue, but this one is not in blue colour. According to Chinese feng-shui, one should engage the protection of Medicine Buddha as there is a high tendency for people to get sick! The direction which is most afflicted by illness is in the West direction of our house or office. It’s highly recommended to put Medicine Buddha in the western area of the house or office to reduce the negative energy.

รูปภาพสีนํ้ามันรูปนี้เราได้มาจากร้านขายของทิเบตนานแล้ว วันนี้พึ่งสังเกตเห็นว่ามีพระพุทธเจ้าที่รักษาโรคภัยไข้เจ็บอยู่ตรงกลาง ตอนที่ซื้อเราสนใจ แต่ภาพรวมและความเก่าของภาพเขียน วันนี้ได้รู้ว่ามีของดีมาก ปีนี้ตามหลักของจีนด้านการวางทิศทาง มีการเตือนให้ระวังว่า คนจะป่วยมากในปีนี้ โดยเฉพาะคนที่อาศัยอยู่ในห้องทางด้านตะวันตกของบ้าน เราจึงควรหาพระพุทธรูปมาวางไว้ในทิศตะวันตก. เพื่อลดพลังด้านลบ ก็ลองสังเกตความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นกับการแนะนำของตำราจีนในเรื่องพลังที่มากับทิศทางต่างๆในแต่ละปี.
