My entry in colourful photography photo contests @juliank. Blue Line.

This is the contingent from our school for the Sinulog Festival here in Mactan, Cebu, Philippines as they waited for their turn to perform. The Sinulog Festival is a yearly affair in honor of the child Jesus, Sr. Santo Nińo, the patron saint of Mactan.

The Sinulog is being participated in by the different schools here in Lapu-Lapu City, both in grade school and high school, but it is opened to all even the neighboring cities are encouraged to join. In some cases there are also some dance studios who brought with them their own dancers to participate in the said activity for the prizes, and of course, to gain some exposures.

One could expect that every presentation is highlighted with full of colors as much as their costumes would suggest. The festive mood of the dancers in their colorful costumes add more delight to the cheering crowd.
