Wildflowers play a very important role in maintaining the richness of your local fauna. It is very fashionable these days to plant exotic plants in our garden. However we should not forget that the insects and birds native to our habitat enjoy those flowers and plants the best that they are used to. The same way most of us prefer the cuisine of our own background, the flavors and tastes we are used to since childhood. If you have a garden, please consider planting a corner of native wildflowers, this could be a huge help for local species of insects and birds.
