Grouse .... The Famous One.... camouflage is the essence of survival on the beautiful Co Durham fell land.

I took this shot on the "Glorious 12th" which is the beginning of the grouse shooting in the U.K.

The purple heather is good camouflage for these tiny birds and good feeding due to the berrys and new shoots amongst the plants.
