ColorChallenge: Thursday- Green- Vinca Vine
While doing my research on this vine I found that there are two different ones; "Vinca Major" and "Vinca Minor." This one is Vinca Major because it is variegated with a white border. Vinca Minor is one solid color. I also found that these vines have either purple or blue flowers which I did not see. Maybe I will be able to see the flowers next spring or summer.
I also found out that I will have to keep the cats away from this vine because all parts of it are poisonous to cats, dogs, horses and people if eaten. Beware of the Vinca Vine!

I have that taking over the sunny side of my woods. The other kind vinka minor....
I read that they both spread fast. Are you going to pull some of it?
Lovely plant. :)
I thought so too. Thanks for stopping by. : )
Oh boy, and silly me, I never knew that Vinka is poisonous! I guess cats and dogs know better to don't touch them, but we people, do not. I often worked around them and never were careful to wash my hands right after. Yes, I truly believe that dogs, cats, and horses intuitively know such things and we do not.
So thanks for sharing it and like usually, big thumbs up for your photos!!
I never knew they were poisonous either until I did the research. Intuition is an amazing thing isn't it, along with nature; they go hand in hand. And as usual, thanks for the big thumbs up once again! : )
