Colorchallenge: Pouting Parrots Thursday Green
How long can this Parakeet try to be a hero and sulk. Finally, he knows who the boss is....
Sure enough, exactly 3 minutes later, here was the doting hubby - preening the boss's hair and apologizing to her!
These were my thoughts as I walked around capturing this Rose ringed parakeet duo with my Nikon P900 last Wednsday.
Chalk one up for the happiness known as marriage, people. Perhaps the world is a better place now!
Yes, yes - I know that real world relationships are far more complicated and I should not be simplifying them to such Parrot tale levels. However, when we really look deep down into altercations we have as couples, are they not mostly about our egos rubbing against each other?
Perhaps, we give each other some space, some respect and some plain 'blind eye for their quirks' - and make the relationships work! Of course, we should never forget who the real boss is in a happy home. 😝

Parrots are very intelligent. I think this type are one of those some Indian fortune tellers use to pick cards and tell fortune.
True. These parrots are rose ringed parakeets (the male has a rose colored ring around the neck as you can see in the picture). Some Indian fortune tellers do use them as you have mentioned
