Color Challenge Sunday Purple -- Crown flower / Dok rak in Thai --
Hello and G'day everybody here on the Steem blockchain.
Calotropis gigantea (crown flower),called dok rak in Thai, is a shrub or small tree growing up to four metres tall.
It is native to Asia and sub-tropical parts of Southeast Asia.The plant has a white milky sap and is a poisonous plant.
In Thailand,they use the flowers in floral arrangements.The flowers are long lasting.

Calotropis procera is a pest in Western Australia and drought tolerant.
Afghan cameleers brought the crown flower into Australia and the Kimberleys. I found fair a bit of crown flower on my mates station.He tries to get rid of it.

I found the flowers about two weeks ago when I went for a little walk outside the village.
