Color Challenge: Sunday Purple -- Japanese Wildflowers
Strictly speaking these flowers were photographed in the wild and in Japan, but erm... they may not be wildflowers so to speak. In any case, the place I photographed them was wild indeed.
I've posted about the magical hike we did through the mountains in Yamanashi Prefecture before. The place is called Ryumonkyo, the land that time forgot. But boy were the flowers pretty. Some amazing scenary too.

The terrain was rough, the path old and unkempt, but it was a super fun walk. Definitely want to go back there again. About a 2 hour drive west from Tokyo.
