ColorChallenge - FridayBlue - Secrets Revealed!

This post is part of the #colorchallenge organized by @kalemandra.

As some of you know, I enjoy making kaleidoscopic designs from photos I take. I usually post one of these patterns with a brief description but leave you wondering where on earth it came from but, not today!

All of the following designs came from the same photo of origin. In this particular situation, I did some minimal editing in my phone, and went right into my pattern creating process. Many times, I will then take the results into Photoshop and fiddle with the colors, add some texture or distortion, etc., but on this one, I'm going au naturale.

So, here we go!

I will lead with my most complex design and work my way back to the start. I really like the delicate, lacy look to this one.

This one is a new approach for me. I combined two different designs using one for the border and one for the center section. I think it's pretty interesting.

And, here is where it all began. This is my favorite photo of this past week that I took it on a late afternoon hike at Vitosha Mountain just outside of Sofia, Bulgaria.
