Colorchallenge Green Thursday: 田んぼ Tanbo in Tokyo

This is a 田んぼ"Tanbo" rice farm just across the street form my home in Tokyo. It's amazing to still see small farms like this in the middle of cities. I enjoy watching them grow over time and then get harvested. Life & seasons.

I agree—always amazing to see the random rice field in the city. A few years back Yamada denki expanded here to Okazaki. They bought up and destroyed several rice fields to build their store and parking lot. But one guy refused to sell, so the parking lot zig zags around his field. I think it's great. I hope he and his family keep holding out.
